Re:Zero starts killing Subaru again: season 4 part 2 is now on Crunchyroll

On Tuesday 12 August, Re:Zero − Starting Life in Another World returned with the second part of its fourth season, adapting the Recapture arc. It is produced by White Fox, the studio that has carried the series since 2016, based on Tappei Nagatsuki's light novels. It streams on Crunchyroll across the Americas, Europe, Africa, Oceania and much of Asia.

Some context on where we are coming from: season 4 had started on 8 April this year, with an opening that drew attention well beyond the fandom — "Recollect", by Konomi Suzuki with Ashnikko, produced by Giga and TeddyLoid — and an ending, "Ender Ember", credited to MYTH & ROID with TK from Ling tosite sigure. That guest list says a lot about the commercial weight the franchise now carries.

An honest note before anyone gets their hopes up: as this piece went out we could not confirm through official sources whether this second part arrives with a Latin American Spanish dub from day one, or whether it is subtitled only for now. If you are waiting on the dub, check the series page on your platform before planning the family marathon.

Today, 14 August, another significant premiere joins the window: Link Click debuts the first part of its third season. Watch out here, because this is the month's trap — the donghua does not stream on Crunchyroll, but exclusively on Bilibili. It is the usual story: a series everyone is posting about that half the fandom cannot find, because they are looking on the wrong platform.

The rest of the summer season has been running since July: Mushoku Tensei premiered its third season early in the month with Studio Bind, and The Saga of Tanya the Evil II arrived on 8 July from studio NUT, also on Crunchyroll. Outside the weekly cycle, Netflix released The Ribbon Hero on 8 August, the film based on Osamu Tezuka's Princess Knight. Four different entry points in a single month — pick where you start.
