Nike planted a Poneglyph in Harajuku: “Romance Dawn” is the only confirmed part of the One Piece collab
The official teaser showed up in Tokyo on August 6. The three Devil Fruit Air Max Plus pairs circulating everywhere are still a leak, not an announcement.

On August 6 Nike Japan posted an image of a carved stone styled after One Piece's Poneglyphs, Swoosh embedded, captioned “Romance Dawn.” The piece also exists in the street: an installation on Cat Street in Harajuku that fans took apart within hours until they pulled a hidden reference to the Gomu Gomu no Mi out of it. The operation is signed by .SWOOSH, the brand's digital arm.
That is everything confirmed. No date, no official price, no announced models, and neither Nike nor One Piece's licensors have put out a release with details. Everything else — three Devil Fruit-themed Air Max Plus (Gomu Gomu, Mera Mera and Ope Ope), $180 each, a fall 2026 window, apparel and a promo card from the card game — comes from sneaker outlets working off leaks. They tend to be right, but until Nike signs it, it is a leak, and it should be read that way.
For anyone buying from this region, the detail that matters is not the design but the channel. Nike's anime collabs almost always ship in short quantities with staggered regional releases: Japan and the United States first, everyone else later or never. In LATAM that means two familiar scenarios — wait for the drop in your country's official app, or pay resale markup — and neither improves with anxiety.
Tanuki's advice: keep the name “Romance Dawn” and check your country's Nike app when a date appears, not before. And be wary of any shop taking reservations or presales for these today: nobody has stock of something the brand hasn't announced.
One Piece is created by Eiichiro Oda and published by Shueisha; the anime series is produced by Toei Animation.
